Boron is one of the important elements for human health. World Health Organization (WHO) has initially accepted boron as a trace element for human health. After this decision, with the increasing researches, WHO has classified boron among the possible essential elements for humans. Simultaneously, this classification further paved the way for researches on the effects of natural and synthetic boron derivatives on human health as a protective and therapeutic agent.
Increasing research on boron biology and its positive developments have brought along the use of more than 400 boron compounds in the industrial field. Furthermore, this number is increasing day by day.
This very book is the first book ever written on Boron and Human Health in the world. The authors who take part in the writing of the book are world-renowned scientists. The book is aimed to reach a wide audience in addition to the academic world. Utmost attention was paid to include evidence-based information appealing readers of all levels. We hope that the boron derivatives will bring a new perspective to these extraordinary days that our world has passed through in terms of health and that this book will be beneficial for all of humanity.
