Maynard Owen Williams observes elephants at work in 1921 India; Luis Marsden snaps a beautiful girl bathing in El Salvador in 1943; Volkmar Wentzel catches Albert Schweitzer playing with kittens in Gabon in 1952; and Tom Abercrombie finds visual poetry in a harbor in 1972 Algiers.
